Principal's Message

Welcome to the FMG School Community for the 2026–2027 School Year!

Dear FMG Families,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at FMG! We are thrilled to have our returning families back and extend a warm welcome to those joining our Bulldog community for the first time. We look forward to another year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

This school year begins with several exciting improvements to our campus that will enhance the educational experience for our students and staff. Over the summer, our facilities underwent significant upgrades, including a beautiful new gym floor in our Orange Gym, a new state-of-the-art turf athletic field, and the completion of air conditioning throughout the remainder of the building, providing a more comfortable learning environment for everyone. These enhancements reflect our district's ongoing commitment to providing exceptional spaces where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Beginning this school year, FMG  will strictly enforce New Jersey’s Bell-to-Bell Law (P.L. 2025, c. 195), which requires all K–12 public school districts to prohibit student use of cell phones and personal internet-enabled devices throughout the entire school day. Additional information is available in our Student Handbook.

Our dedicated staff has spent the summer preparing engaging academic and social-emotional learning experiences designed to inspire every student. Through high-quality, data-informed instruction, character education, and a comprehensive curriculum, we remain committed to developing compassionate, confident, and extraordinary learners.

At FMG, we take tremendous pride in our strong sense of community, tradition, and Bulldog spirit. Each new school year brings fresh opportunities to strengthen those traditions while creating new ones that celebrate the unique talents and achievements of our students. We also remain proud of our designation as a No Place for Hate school, with programs such as Heroes and Cool Kids continuing to foster empathy, leadership, respect, and inclusivity throughout our school community.

Our school schedule continues to offer a balanced educational experience that combines rigorous core academics with a wide variety of enriching electives, supporting both academic success and personal growth. We encourage all families to be active partners in their child's education and invite you to join our PTA, whose dedication and support play an invaluable role in strengthening the connection between home and school.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I look forward to working together to ensure every student feels welcomed, challenged, supported, and inspired. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to making FMG a place where every child can succeed.

Best Regards,

Ronald Slate
