Working together to create a yearbook theme, photo layouts and copy. Committee is also responsible for raising funds to defray the cost of the yearbook.

Homework Club provides a quiet place for students to complete daily homework. The HWC Advisors monitor the students’ progress towards the completion of their homework.
Occasionally peer tutors from the National Honor Society at Dayton High School are available to also provide extra support.
Plant Club  Mrs. Gillen Grade 5-7

Second and Fourth Tuesday of the Month

2:30-3:30

Plant club is an afterschool activity that is open to anyone in grades five, six,and seven. In the fall the club plants and distributes plants for every classroom. During the winter we make terrariums and during the spring we work on creating gardens
to attract butterflies.

The purpose of the FMG Student Council is to develop positive attitudes and to practice good citizenship; to provide leadership opportunities to students; to maintain and promote communication between faculty, students and administrators; and to create enjoyable social events for students. Student Council sponsored events include the Halloween Dance, The Talent Show, a food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and various spirit days throughout the year.

Grade 7 & 8   The FMG National Junior Honor Society is a group that selects members through a rigorous selection process. The group is chartered by the National Chapter and is committed to the core ideal of Service, Leadership, Scholarship and Character. The group offers service back to the school community by offering tutoring to other students.

The Art Club offers the students the opportunity to explore art concepts and projects. Students are able to choose a project to work on a design using a variety of materials and techniques. Students in Art Club are free to choose from many different genres and mediums.

The Middle School Debate Club is a fun and engaging extracurricular group where students learn the art of public speaking, critical thinking, and respecting the opinions of others even if you disagree. Members work together to research current topics, build strong arguments, and practice structured debates in a supportive environment. The club encourages teamwork, confidence, and open-mindedness, helping students express their ideas clearly and listen to others thoughtfully. Whether competing in friendly debates or preparing for tournaments, the Debate Club offers a great opportunity for students to grow their communication skills and have their voices heard.

The Diversity Club promotes an appreciation for diversity and inclusivity. The club provides engaging and educational opportunities for students to connect within and beyond groups with whom they identify in regard to ethnicity, nationality, culture, race, religion, and gender identity. The club works toward raising awareness and encouraging a sense of equity around the school.

Grade 6-8 Sept-December The Middle School Musical Club is an audition-based program that brings together students with a passion for performing and the arts. Members have the opportunity to showcase their talents
through singing, dancing, and acting in a full-scale stage production. In addition to performers,
the club also welcomes students interested in behind-the-scenes roles, including
stage management, technical support, lighting, and sound design. Together, the cast and
crew collaborate to bring the show to life, building confidence, creativity, and teamwork
throughout the rehearsal and performance process.
